ISDS deeply mourns the loss of Professor Dr. Maurizio Podda
January 13, 1965 – August 23, 2025
As an outstanding physician, scientist, and academic teacher, Professor Podda served our field of
Dermatology, Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery in many distinguished roles, most notably as President of our Society from 2015 – 2016.
His professional excellence was matched by a winning, charming, and life-affirming personality that
brought people together and created lasting networks of friendship and collaboration.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all his loved ones.
We will remember him with deep gratitude – as an inspiring teacher, dedicated colleague, and
cherished friend.
